Molting
These are some pictures of Freckles that I took and you can maybe see where she is molting more. I would take better pictures, but Freckles is running from me and it's hard to catch her standing still.
Molting and relaxing
Freckles, the chicken with barely any feathers, is molting. The reason she doesn't have hardly any feathers is because after a hen goes broody, she will molt all of her feathers at the same time. She will regrow them back, but it will take awhile. Freckles walks backwards and staggers sideways and bumps into things because her feathers are gone and she gets off balance and it feels weird to her. If you look under Freckle's belly, all the feathers are gone and it is just spikes from where the old feathers have fallen out. The spikes really, really weird...like rubbing your hand on a porcupine with not very pointy quills. I will send an update on Freckles.
Some of the other chickens in the pictures are molting, but not as bad as Freckles. But some of the others are just cleaning, taking dust baths and relaxing.

Freckles
Freckles has bin broody for 3 hole months! Chickens are not supposed to go broody that long it's not good for them at all. Her come is all pale and she's lost a pound or two from not eating. Her is how I broke her from it....one day when she was outside for her 10 minet brake I closed the coop doors so no hen could get in the coop and that forced freckles to stay outside for a couple hours. Then I opens it back up so all hens could drink and eat. Of course freckles sat rite back down on her eggs. I continued to do this for about 2 more days and on the third day when it was time for chickens to go to sleep freckles was on the roost with the others and has bin broken from it ever since. Yay!

Chickens
This is Freckles. She is the skinniest chicken in the whole coop other than the two silkies and Boomie (Mrs. Boomernickles). We don't know how it happened, but apparently she cut her comb. It bled and she started drinking it off the wall while she was on the roost. Freckles can be very shy to other people, especially if she doesn't know them. Once she gets to know them, she will let the person hold her.
This is Rosie. She is laying her egg for the day, so she can go out and relax with the other chickens. When other chickens are laying their eggs and Rosie has to lay too, she goes out of the coop and jumps on top of the nesting box lid and starts singing the chicken song so we think she's laid her egg. If there's another hen inside the coop who has to lay her egg too, but the other chicken is still in the box, she chimes in on Rosie's song (she gets mad too because Rosie is mad). Then the rest chime in.

Buns
this is sunny bun buns my chicken.
Buns has rainbow ears and a fuzzy beard. Buns' feathers are black, white, grey and iridescent. Her eyes are the color of fresh lemons, but also the color of bursting-with-juice oranges and the color of new hazelnuts. Her feet are so faintly grey that look like ashes, if not paler.

My Family-
Silkie baby weighs less than one pound. She loves to be held. She follows me around because the other chickens have been mean to her. It's very funny when her top knot gets wet, because it is either straight up or sleeked back and you can really see her eyes. When she was littler, she got through the wire on top of her cage and cut herself.
This is Caroline's chicken. We thought she was Sweety, then we thought she was Mrs. Boombernickles, but but Mrs. Boomernickles is too small to be it. And Sweety is bigger, so this is Star.

This is a duck just hatching out of its egg. This is the place we got our baby chickens from.
This is the llama that lost its Mama. Its name is Spot. His mother died six weeks after she had him. He thinks he's a dog. He runs and plays like a dog and he's never seen little people like me and Sissy. This is the backyard of the people who own the store where we got the baby chickens from.

Chickens
We bought three baby chickens. Two are sleeping and one is in the food sleeping. All three of them are girl chickens.
This is when we first got them. They're still in the box.
This is me holding two of the baby chicks. Carnie named hers Star. I named mine Sweetie and Daddy and Mama's was named Pecky because she pecked a lot at the other chickens.

Raccoons
Pop caught a raccoon a few weeks ago. It was a girl raccoon and we got to watch Pop release it. When it was released, it went straight to the water and we got to see it swim and hide. We released it at Massac Creek.
These are two raccoon prints at Massac Creek that we found yesterday. We think it was the same raccoon that we released.

Cute owl's
I think that's the Mama Owl cleaning her baby. The baby is so so cute. I wonder how many babies there are. There was another picture of owls like these and there were two owls and one of them looked younger and they were flying. Click on the picture because if you do, there will be a whole bunch of other pictures of these owls. They are really neat.

Click on this picture and it will take you to this volcano and you can create your own. It's really neat. Hit enter and after you get there, you click on the sign that says "Build your own volcano and watch it erupt." After you get there, you can click on the viscocity. Click the low and the high signs on the blue and the red viscocity and gas signs. When you are done, you can click on set conditions and you will see your volcano. Once you do that, you hit start eruption and your volcano will explode.

The Story of the Caterpillar
It not really a story. I just couldn't think of anything to say.
The caterpillar is super fast. He is as fast as an ant. Me and Sissy named him "Harry." We made him a little home. It was actually a hotel for all bugs. While we were outside making the hotel, a spider came in and spent the night. It seriously did.
The caterpillar tickled and he felt prickly. Me and Sissy took him down to the hotel and then he started crawling and looking for food. We made the hotel in a ditch in our front yard, so that a tornado wouldn't tear it up. I made the hotel out of bark, grass, leaves, and flowers. The caterpillar ate a little bit of the leaf.
